Gwen Smith started to work for LMCS almost 25 years ago in May 1982.  She has a B.A. in English and German from Austin Peay State University, an MS in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, and an MA in German from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia and a Senior Psychological Examiner in the State of Tennessee.  She serves as the Director of Access to Services, After-Hours Crisis Services, and CARF Accreditation. 

 Gwen has two daughters and two sons-in-law.  One lives in Chattanooga and has two children, a daughter and a son.  The other daughter lives in the Boston, Massachusetts, area. 

 When not working at LMCS, Gwen enjoys bicycling and does as many cycling trips as she can squeeze in.  In the summer of 2006 she did a tour in Austria and Germany and plans to do another tour in Germany and the Natchez Trace during 2007.
