Jan Lewis has been with LMCS since 1983.  She has worked in Tennessee at both Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute and at Valley Psychiatric Hospital as an Activity Therapist.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1975 with a major in Therapeutic Recreation, and a Masters degree in 1983 in Community Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

She is a CPRP, a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner, and has always enjoyed working with the severely mentally ill population.

 She lives in Chickamauga.  She is a member of the Chickamauga Woman's Club and the Friends of the Chickamauga Public Library, enjoys tennis, walking, and knitting.  She has two children; a daughter, Emily, who teaches 5th grade, and a son, Nathan, who is a junior at the University of West Georgia.
