Diane Cousineau

Diane Cousineau currently serves as a consultant with the Georgia Family Connection Partnership’s Fund Development Team and provides technical assistance and information on planning, finance and fund development opportunities to Family Connection collaboratives.

She has staffed the Georgia Council on Vocational Education, the Council on Maternal and Infant Health, the State Energy Office, The Educational Improvement Council, and the Walker County Board of Health. She also served on the Region 1 Mental Health/Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Board. Ms. Cousineau was also instrumental in developing the Walker County Family Connection collaborative. In addition, she has served as staff to the Georgia House of Representatives as a member of the House Research Office where she conducted research, staffed committees, and managed legislation related to education, children with special needs, natural resources, emergency management, and state retirement systems.

She is a founder and past chair of the Southeastern Cave Conservancy, Inc. a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to protecting caves and their watersheds through acquisition, conservation and management.

She is also a member of Walker County Emergency Services and is a Captain at Station 21, the county’s cave rescue team.
