What benefits are offered?

Eligible employees may participate in a benefits program including holidays, vacations, retirement savings, health programs, and other benefits.

Who is eligible for benefits? 

Benefits-eligible means that the salaried employee works on average more than 29 hours per week.

When does insurance go into effect for new employees?

Insurance will be activated on the first date of the month following the first full month of employment.

Can I drop or add insurance at any time?

No, employees can only make changes to insurance during the first 30 days of new employment, during the Bridge Health annual Open Enrollment period, or when the employee has a qualifying event.  Examples: other coverage due to marriage, loss of coverage due to divorce, Medicare coverage, etc.

I have just been approved for Medicare.  Can I drop my coverage?

Yes, employees can apply to discontinue coverage within 31 days of the Medicare coverage activation.

When will my insurance be deducted from my check?

Health insurance premiums are deducted from the middle of the month check (15th), and all Flexible Benefits insurance premiums are deducted from the end of the month check (31st). The only exception is the Spending Account deduction which comes out of each check.
