Kaleidoscope visits the Georgia State Capitol
Recently, Lookout Mountain Community Services Kaleidoscope program direct support staff Brooklyn Espy, representing Kaleidoscope South-Summerville, and Nathan Gibson, representing Kaleidoscope North-Chickamauga, traveled to the Georgia State Capitol building in support of the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities Direct Support Professional Day.
The G.C.D.D.’s aim was to make Georgia Legislators aware of the workforce shortages of Direct Support Staff here in Georgia, as well as, the importance of having a caregiver registry open to all HCBS waivers.
Brooklyn and Nathan are pictured with State Senator Jeff Mullis, Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan, among others on the floor of the State Capitol.
